Create a PhonePe UPI QR code for instant payments. Works with PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm and all UPI apps. Free — no sign-up needed.
A PhonePe QR code is a standard UPI QR code linked to your PhonePe UPI ID — which ends in @ybl (Yes Bank Limited). When someone scans it with PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm, BHIM, or any UPI app, your payment details are pre-filled and they can pay you in seconds. According to Statista, PhonePe has over 530 million registered users — making it India's largest UPI app by user base.
The QR code stores a standard UPI deep link in this format:
This upi:// URI format is defined and governed by NPCI (National Payments Corporation of India) — which means any certified UPI app can scan and process payments from your PhonePe QR code. You are not locked into the PhonePe ecosystem.
Your PhonePe UPI ID is what goes into the generator above. It looks like 9876543210@ybl — your mobile number followed by @ybl. Here's how to find it in four steps:
Launch PhonePe on your Android or iOS device.
Tap the Profile / account icon in the top-right corner of the home screen.
Under your account details, tap "UPI IDs" to see all linked UPI addresses.
Copy the UPI ID ending in @ybl and paste it into the generator above.
When PhonePe launched UPI payments, it partnered with Yes Bank Limited (YBL) as its banking partner — which is why all PhonePe UPI IDs end in @ybl. Even though PhonePe has since added additional banking partnerships (including ICICI Bank and Axis Bank), the @ybl handle remains the primary and most widely used PhonePe UPI identifier. It functions identically to any other UPI VPA (Virtual Payment Address): it can send and receive money across all UPI-certified apps and banks without any restrictions.
Whether you run a shop counter, a restaurant, a home business, or freelance from your laptop — a PhonePe QR code makes accepting payments effortless. Print and laminate it at your billing desk. Place it on restaurant tables. Add it to digital invoices. Share the downloaded PNG directly over WhatsApp or Instagram DM — customers screenshot it, scan from their gallery, and pay instantly.
With PhonePe commanding 48% of all UPI transaction volume and over 530 million users, the vast majority of your customers already have PhonePe installed. And because the QR uses the standard NPCI upi:// format, customers on Google Pay, Paytm, BHIM, or any other app can pay you too — UPI is fully interoperable by design.

When scanned with PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm, or any UPI app, it pre-fills your payment details instantly. PhonePe UPI IDs end in @ybl (Yes Bank) — for example 9876543210@ybl. The QR code itself is an image that encodes the upi:// URI — the same open standard used by all UPI apps across India.
Your PhonePe UPI ID ends in @ybl and looks like 9876543210@ybl. To find it: open PhonePe → tap the Profile icon (top-right) → UPI IDs. You can also tap the QR icon on the PhonePe home screen — your UPI ID is shown below your name. If you have multiple UPI IDs linked (some users have @ibl or @axl handles too), use the one ending in @ybl as it is the primary PhonePe handle.
Yes. A PhonePe QR code uses the standard NPCI upi:// format, so anyone with any UPI app — Google Pay, Paytm, BHIM, Amazon Pay — can scan it and pay you. UPI is interoperable by design: NPCI mandates that all certified UPI apps accept payments to any UPI VPA regardless of the bank or app it belongs to. According to NPCI, there are over 50 million merchant locations accepting UPI across India — all using this same standard.
Yes. A UPI QR code can only receive money — it cannot debit your account. Displaying your PhonePe QR code at a shop counter is exactly what NPCI designed it for. The payer needs their own UPI PIN on their phone to authorize the payment, and that PIN never leaves their device. Your PhonePe QR code is as safe to display publicly as printing your bank account number on a letterhead for incoming NEFT transfers.
PhonePe originally partnered with Yes Bank (YBL = Yes Bank Limited) for its UPI banking partner, giving it the @ybl VPA handle. Even though PhonePe now has additional banking partnerships, @ybl remains the primary PhonePe UPI handle used by most PhonePe users. It functions identically to any other UPI ID — it can transact across all UPI-certified apps and member banks without restriction.
The QR code image itself is generated and downloaded to your device — no internet needed to display it. You can print it, show it on a screen, or share it as a saved image file without any connectivity. However, the customer scanning the QR code needs an active internet connection on their phone to process the UPI payment. The actual payment happens via the UPI network in real time and requires the payer to be online.
